Located on the southern edge of Whitehaven town centre, the B&B is just a few minutes' walk from Corkickle train station and on a direct bus route to the outlying areas of Cleator Moor, Frizington, Egremont, Calder Bridge, Ennerdale Bridge and Gosforth. From here, keen walkers can easily access some of the Western Lakes' most spectacular scenery at Ennerdale and Wasdale - and the highest mountain in England, Scafell Pike. The guesthouse offers clothes drying facilities and a hearty breakfast to fuel intrepid walkers for an energetic day's fell-walking.

Our accommodation is also a popular choice for business guests whose requirements necessitate close proximity to West Lakes Science and Technology Park and Sellafield, just over 11 miles to the south. With free wi-fi, shirt pressing service and off -site parking, we welcome hundreds of business guests throughout the year.

Whitehaven is also recognised as the starting point for the famous C2C coast-to-coast cycle route, stretching from the Irish Sea on the Cumbrian coast to the North Sea off the Northumbrian coast. This 136 mile route, which crosses the Lake District and The Pennines, attracts more than 14,000 cyclists each year. Offering secure purpose-built cycle storage and early-morning breakfasts as well as optional packed lunches, Glenfield is the ideal choice for those embarking on the C2C.
